Since 2008, we have dedicated ourselves to one goal: building CO2 laser machines that workshops can depend on every day, year after year. No shortcuts. No compromises on quality. Just reliable equipment and honest support.
Thunder Laser was founded in 2008 by a small team of CO2 laser engineers in Dongguan, China, with a clear mission: make precision laser cutting and engraving technology accessible to small and medium businesses worldwide.
In the early years, CO2 laser equipment was expensive, unreliable for non-technical operators, and supported poorly after the sale. We saw an opportunity to change that. Our founding engineers — with combined experience of over 30 years in laser optics and motion systems — set out to design machines that could run 8+ hours daily without the constant maintenance demands that plagued many competing products.
By 2012, we had established our first dealer network in North America. By 2016, Thunder Laser machines were operating in over 50 countries. Today, we serve 8,000+ customers in 80+ countries, with dedicated support teams in the US, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
Our growth has been deliberate, not reckless. We have chosen to remain focused on CO2 laser technology rather than diversifying into areas where we lack deep expertise. This focus allows us to invest heavily in refining the equipment, the support infrastructure, and the customer experience rather than chasing the next trend.
Thunder Laser established with 12 engineers focused exclusively on CO2 laser system development.
First US dealer partnership. Opened regional spare parts warehouse in California for faster service delivery.
Introduced the Nova series — now our best-selling product line — available in 24, 35, 51, and 63 work area sizes.
Shipped the 10,000th machine. Expanded factory to 18,000 sqm with annual production capacity of 3,500 units.
Launched the Bolt series with dual-head technology — CO2 and fiber laser in one machine for mixed-material processing.
Global dealer network spans 80+ countries with 280 employees and 55 dedicated R&D engineers.
Every Thunder Laser machine is manufactured in our 18,000 sqm facility in Dongguan. We maintain direct control over the entire assembly process — from frame welding and optical alignment to electronics integration and final testing.
Our quality management system is ISO 9001:2015 certified (certificate number: CN-QMS-2019-0472, renewed annually). Each machine undergoes a documented 72-hour burn-in test before shipping. The test protocol includes: (1) laser beam alignment using a thermal target at four corner points and center — beam deviation must measure below 0.5mm across the full work area; (2) motion system calibration by running a 500mm square test pattern at maximum speed (1,000mm/s) and verifying dimensional accuracy with a calibrated caliper (tolerance: ±0.05mm); (3) full-power continuous cutting test on 10mm acrylic for 60 minutes to verify consistent power output and cooling system performance; (4) electrical safety testing including earth continuity, insulation resistance, and emergency stop response time (<0.5 seconds). Machines that fail any checkpoint are returned to the line for adjustment and retested from Step 1 — we do not ship equipment that has not passed the complete protocol.
We treat every customer relationship as a long-term partnership, not a transaction. That philosophy shapes everything from pre-sale consultation through years of post-purchase support.
Free consultation and material sample testing — send us your materials (up to 3 samples, each under 300x300mm) and we will run test cuts and engravings on the recommended machine, then ship the samples back with a detailed parameter report including power, speed, frequency, and air assist settings used. If our machine is not the right fit for your application — for example, if you need to cut metals thicker than 2mm or process materials incompatible with CO2 wavelengths — we will tell you directly and suggest alternatives.
Remote installation guidance, operator training videos, and live training sessions included at no extra cost with every machine purchase.
2-year warranty, lifetime technical consultation, and US-stocked spare parts with 2-3 day delivery for North American customers. Support response within 24 hours.
Tell us about your workshop, your materials, and your production goals. We will recommend the right machine and provide a transparent quote — no pressure.
