Why We Bought a Thunder Laser Titan Pro Instead of the Cheapest Laser Cutter

It Started With a Tumbler Order

Last April, our operations manager walked into my office with a stainless steel tumbler in one hand and a purchase order in the other. A client wanted 200 tumblers with their logo laser-etched. We had been outsourcing all our laser engraving and cutting for years. That one order would cost $1,800 and take three weeks. By the time it arrived, the client almost canceled. Do not let a low number on a quote make the decision for you. It didn't for us, and I'm glad it didn't.

The cheapest quote was $4,500 less than the Titan Pro. But the Titan Pro got us into production in two weeks instead of two months, came with support that actually answered questions, and let us say yes to orders we used to pass on. That is the math that matters.

And when you find a vendor that treats "technical support" as an actual answer, not a ticket category, hold on to them. It will save you more than any discount.
